I am interested in creating an interactive mind-mapping project. I am proposing to start one or several mind-maps (word diagrams) about the body. Pens will be provided and people are encouraged to participate in the mind-mapping process. A web of communal thoughts and associations around given themes/key words will be composed. A web of information will be created linking various sources of information. Information is not locked down to a linear format, instead new connections can always be made by writing and linking words and phrases to one another. Each map becomes a body of its own whose gestalt is in constant flux. Mind-maps will be written/drawn in subway stations or on empty billboard spaces around the city.



HOW TO LOCATE

Currently outside the FREE MANIFESTA HEADQUARTERS on the exterior wall of the Kunstverein.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a Bay Area artist originally from Frankfurt, Germany. I have exhibited both locally and internationally, and received my MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts. Through various mediums such as photography, drawing, sculpting and video she explores the relationship between mind and body as well as the tension between the interior and exterior of the body.
