Atlas consists of a series of stacks, each made up of 360 numbered sheets, a notice invites people to take one of the pages. As these are dispersed a shifting, expanding atlas will form with a conceptual and yet physical geography created in the space between the pages.
This is an ongoing project, Atlas can be presented for distribution at very diverse venues, either individually or at several locations simultaneously.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
John McDowall is a printmaker based in Bradford, England, whose work is produced mainly as books that combine subject and medium, exploring some of their shared characteristics with film and experimental writing. Reflecting interest in the book as a form that can intrigue and can encompass the potential for contribution and participation by the viewer/reader.
