A WALKMAN WITH A SPEAKER

ON IT WILL PLAY A PRE RECORDED SOUND MODEM CONECTION.

A SHEET OF PAPER WITH A HAND MADE DRAWING OF A COMPUTER.

THE WALKMAN WILL BE A SONY MODEL: VOR, SILVER WITH A 4W SPEAKER ON IT.

THE PAPER WILL BE A WHITE BOND 8.5X11 (NOTEBOOK SIZE)

THE SOUND PIECE WILL BE A MODEM CONECTION AOL OR NETZERO STYLE.

THE RECORDING WILL BE PLAYED AT SAME VELOCITY AS THE ORIGINAL SOUND CONECTION.

THE DRAWING WILL BE MADE BY HAND IN PENCIL OR INK AND WILL BE A FAST STYLE DRAWING NO DETAILS VERY SIMPLE.THE TWO PIECES WILL BE TOGETHER: THE WALKMAN WILL BE PLACED ON TOP OF THE SHEET OF PAPER BESIDE THE DRAWING. THE DRAWING WILL BE VISIBLE OR PARTIALY VISIBLE.

THE PIECE WILL BE SITUATED IN A REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASSIC CORNER OF FRANKFURT ON THE SIDE WALK.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Alberto Guedea is a multidisciplinary artist from Mexico. His work and investigations in visuals and Sound, Photography , Installation , e-mail art Web art and Internet performance have beenrecognized internationally. He has been producing and performing many Group and solo exhibitions since 1992. His work has been selected for many exhibitions and festivals such as: "we are glass" Vallarta Gallery (Guadalajara Jal. Mex.) , The National Exhibition "Nuestro cine" Cineforo of the University of Guadalajara, (Guadalajara Jal Mex.) "Artistas de occidente" Museum of Experimental Arts Ex-Teresa (Mexico City) , Festival "Signal and Noise" Video-in Studios (Vancouver ,Canada) , the Festival Multiplex (Vancouver, Canada) to name a few examples. He is also the creator of the experimental sound and music projects : Fukuzound , kubes of steel 12, arabia saudita and jugoban. Guedea is the Co-founder of the Avatar performance project "The Gates" with the Canadian Media Artist, Jeremy Turner. Their specific Avatar performances take place in a Virtual Reality Online Environment called "OnLive Traveler". For the past few years, Alberto Guedea has been living between Mexico, Canada and Japan.
