Is Art Dead?
For a number of years, some theorists have been asserting that, with the
advent of the internet and wild reproduction (sampling, copy-paste, etc.),
we are witnessing the death of art. If we are to assume that art is dead,
what would you replace it with?
More than 150 artists and intellectuals replied to this call for participation.
They each submitted a "representation" of the concept of "art"
- image, photo, text, etc.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Video (ARCANAL Award, Paris 1992), multimedia interactive & web director,
Tamara Laï turns in 1993 to the digital techniques and the writing
of interactive tales and poetry (CD-ROMS). Since 1997, she centres her
researches on Web Art (sites, cam_and_ chat performances, videoconferences...),
and especially the creation of networked collective spaces (with the cooperation
of more than 200 international artists).
Her works were a part of official selections of festivals and international
events in Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Swiss, Italy, Spain,
Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Canada, Hong-Kong, New York.

Réalisatrice video (Prix ARCANAL, Paris 1992), multimedia interactif
& web, Tamara Laï se tourne en 1993 vers les techniques digitales
et l'écriture de contes et poésie interactifs (CD-ROMS).
Depuis 1997, elle centre ses recherches sur le Web Art (sites, cam_and_
chat performances, videoconferences...), et spécialement la creation
d'espaces collectifs en réseau (en collaboration avec plus de 200
artistes internationaux ).
Ses oeuvres ont fait partie des selections officielles de festivals et
événements internationux en Belgique, France, De Nederland,
